The absolute best way to install insulation in the attic is to first extract the old insulation. The before photos of this Frankfurt home show what this section of the attic looked like after the old insulation was removed.

After the extraction was complete, our highly trained installation technicians air sealed all the plumbing and electrical penetrations to prevent air from flowing through the new insulation and then blew in new, clean insulation which can be seen in the after photo.

National Radon Defense trained specialists

With harmful concentrations of radon looming in your Frankfort, KY home, you need to act fast. Radon is an odorless, invisible gas and is one of the leading causes of cancer and other health issues. If you have radon levels around or above 4 picocuries per liter, then your family is being exposed to harmful levels of radioactivity.

The National Radon Defense trained experts at Weatherization Plus can help, our technicians can assess:

  • How potent the radon source is
  • How radon is entering your home
  • How well your home ventilates

Once our trained technicians have determined the levels of radon in your home are above what is recommended by the EPA and other health organizations, we will install a radon mitigation system.

What does a radon mitigation system work?

  • A plastic pipe connecting the air under your foundation to the outside is installed
  • An in-line fan sucks radon beneath your foundation and expels it outdoors
  • Instead of radon entering your home through cracks or gaps, it is expelled before it can penetrate your home

Call for a free, no-obligation cost estimate and one of our skilled radon experts can answer your questions today!

Work Requests From Frankfort, KY
Greenway Blvd in Frankfort
House is ~ 1250 sq ft single level on a slab, built in 2002. We bought it in 2015, and as I've been making changes I've been spending a lot of time in the attic, and have really compacted/moved/messed up the blown-in fiberglass insulation. I'm nearing the end of the projects that I expect to need to work in the attic for (hopefully complete in the next couple weeks), and was planning on blowing in a bunch more insulation to fix what I've messed up, but I figured it would be a good idea to at least see if it makes sense to have any air sealing or duct sealing work done, before I deal with the insulation. In short, I guess I'm interested in an assessment to see what shape things are in right now, and what I should consider having done before insulating.
